Learn to: Mountain Biking for Women with Velo Vixens

Join Velo Vixens and Outdoor Chattanooga to celebrate International Women’s Mountain Bike Day on May 4th. Register for Introduction to Mountain Biking taught in partnership with Velo Vixens, a womens adventure group. This class provides the equipment and instruction to get you on single-track trails with confidence”
The class utilizes various Chattanooga area trails appropriate to introduce new riders to the awesome singletrack biking available in our community. Trails for this class are rated beginner to moderate and do have elevation gain and loss, loose rocks, roots and meander through the forest.
Need a bike? No problem! Outdoor Chattanooga can provide a mountain bike and helmet with reservation.
The course covers the following in a fun and relaxed atmosphere:
- Terrain Awareness
- Direction Control
- Pressure Control
- Timing and Coordination
- Trail Etiquette and Rider Responsibilities
- Trail Stewardship and Resources
The class ages 14and up and minors must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required and participants must already know how to confidently ride a bike. Personal equipment is allowed but must be in proper working order.
Additional details and trail location is shared after registration. Singletrack trails . The trail is considered beginner to moderate.
