The section of Prentice Cooper west of Suck Creek holds approximately 100 miles of forest service roads and trails and approximately 18,000 acres that are open to licensed hunters during managed hunts.

The plateau's terrain and environment varies, from open fields to rugged woods and rocky stream beds.

Hunting licenses are available at the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.

Camping is available at the check-in station or Davis Pond Campgrounds. Facilities are primitive.
