Wildlife Viewing. The Chattanooga region's natural beauty, which includes mountains, trees, and the Tennessee River, is enhanced by this region's diverse wildlife. To ensure a good experience while "wildlife viewing" several conditions must be met:
1. Good viewing opportunity - the ability to catch more than just a quick glimpse of whatever animal you are observing.
2. Diversity of wildlife - the opportunity to view the Peregrine Falcons nesting by Chickamauga Dam or the Sandhill Cranes at Birchwood
3. Good access - including clearly marked trails, accessible parking, and decent viewing locations, etc.
4. Pleasant scenery - absence of trash, quiet surroundings
The Chattanooga region is excellent for the wildlife viewer because the conditions listed are plentiful. We hope you experience this wonderful activity alone or with your family and friends.
