Rapid Learning Whitewater Kids Club

Rapid Learning is a community based program for kids 8-18 and their families to learn how to kayak in whitewater. The club provides kayaks, gear, and expert instruction from the first Roll in a swimming pool to the summer’s last epic journey on the Ocoee River. Through weekly kayak skills practice, club trips and summer camps, kids and their parents can gain the confidence to run great southern rivers like the Ocoee, Hiwassee, Tellico, and Nantahala.

Club dues are $50 per year for an individual, $75 per year for the whole family. Membership includes use of Rapid Learning boats and gear, supervised club trips and special events, and free weekly skills practice all year round.

Roll and skills practice takes place every Tuesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga’s Maclellan Gym pool during the winter, and at the Greenway Farm (home of Outdoor Chattanooga OutVenture) during the warmer months.
