Crockford-Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management Area
Located in Walker County, near Rock Springs, Georgia this state Wildlife Management Area is open to large and small game hunting, including deer, wild (feral) hog, bear and turkey.
Pigeon Mountain is a geological finger jutting northeast from the Lookout Mountain escarpment. The tabletop contains sinkholes, rock formations, meadows and forest, as well as rocky gorges the cut the sides of the mountain.
There are several backcountry campgrounds that are open to hunters, climbers, equestrians, mountain bikers and backpackers.
