Rock Climbing.
Remnants of an ancient sea have left the Chattanooga area blessed with spectacular sandstone cliffs and abundant boulder fields.
From Little Rock City to the T Wall in the spectacular Tennessee River Gorge, boulderers, sport, traditional and top rope climbers can find a place to play.
Important Note:
Each climbing location should be researched thoroughly to learn the best practices, routes and rules of access that must be followed. For local knowledge and best practices in the Chattanooga region, visit the Southeastern Climbers Coalition.
For the beginner, the first place to go is to a guide service or climbing gym. (See "Organizations" to the right)
