Snow Skiing You may be saying to yourself...snow skiing, in Chattanooga?  Well, Chattanooga doesn't actually have the appropriate weather conditions for snow skiing, but we have a wonderful local organization that loves the sport.

The Chattanooga Ski Club is a non-profit organization for the benefit of skiers and their families. Club activities include ski trips to North America, Europe, and Southern ski resorts. Ski trips are designed for all levels of skiing ability from first time skiers to downhill racers and snowboarders. All of the Chattanooga Ski Club trips are first class and the best your money can buy.  In addition to ski trips, the Club offers off-season events, including charitable activities.

The club was organized and charted as the Chattanooga Ski Club in 1969 to promote the sport of snow skiing among the residents of the Chattanooga area.  From a few dozen original members, it quickly grew to several hundred members.  The Club was charted as a non-profit organization with the state of Tennessee in 1987.

Early efforts were aimed at promoting one large western trip (around 100 skiers) each year, usually by charter plane.  Over the years, the focus of the club has changed to promote more trips of fewer skiers each (30-50) by commercial airlines so that currently the club takes about 300 skiers a year.  Our trips now include members throughout the U.S.!
