Health and Wellness

Outdoor Chattanooga is committed to getting its citizens and visitors outside. A natural advantage to playing outdoors is that participants increase their health and wellness the more active they are. Regular exercise decreases blood pressure, maintains muscle mass, helps with weight control, and decreases LDL cholesterol levels while increasing HDL cholesterol levels. Why not have fun first and thus reap the benefits of better health? Get healthy - come out and play!

 

Tennessee Riverpark Usage Data Project

This project was undertaken in 2008/2009 by the Chattanooga Bicycle Coordinator, the Transportation Planning Organization, and the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga to collect information about how and why people use the Tennessee Riverpark, an 8-mile linear greenway that runs from downtown Chattanooga to Chickamauga Dam.
