S. Chickamauga Creek

South Chickamauga Creek is located between Shallowford Road and Camp Jordan Park, many Chattanoogans use the creek for leisure purposes such as, flatwater paddling or canoeing. Paddling the 19.8 mile creek is a perfect trip for Chattanooga residents of all ages and skill levels.  The South Chickamauga Creek is a Class I - perfect for families, beginners, and intermediates.

From Chattanooga, take I-24E to I-75S to exit 1 (US-41S). Turn left onto Ringgold Rd., left onto Thomas Street, left onto Fred Pruett Parkway - this becomes Camp Jordan Parkway - follow into Camp Jordan.
