Enterprise South Nature Park
Enterprise South Nature Park is a 2,800 acre wildlife park, located off of Volkswagen Drive and I-75 in Northeast Chattanooga. The former Volunteer Army Ammunition Plant site was set aside for public use when the facility closed. In December, 2010, 1,300 acres were opened for free, public use by Hamilton County. The park features 25 miles of hiking, mountain biking and ADA accessible trails, both paved and unpaved, picnic areas, historical exhibits from the park's industrial days, and a 7 mile driving loop. A new visitors center serves as an information center and also houses office and meeting space. More trails are currently under development.
